UK Legal Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 2026  |  legalie.co.uk

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of legalie.co.uk and the purchase of any products or digital downloads from Legalie Ltd (company number: 17236072), registered in England and Wales ('Legalie', 'we', 'us', 'our').

By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

If you have any questions, contact us at info@legalie.co.uk.

2. What Legalie is — and what it isn't

Legalie provides plain-English educational information about UK legal processes, rights, and official correspondence. Our products and content are for general informational and educational purposes only.

Legalie is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice. Nothing on our website or in any of our products constitutes legal advice, and no solicitor-client relationship is created by purchasing from us or using our website.

If you need legal advice specific to your situation, you should consult a qualified solicitor or contact Citizens Advice.

Our content relates to the law of England and Wales only, unless otherwise stated. Laws differ in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

3. Our products

Digital downloads

We sell digital products including PDF guides, document packs, and educational materials. By purchasing a digital product you agree to the following:

•  Digital products are delivered immediately via download link upon payment.

•  All products are for personal use only unless otherwise stated. You may not resell, redistribute, reproduce, or share our products without our written permission.

•  Our products are protected by copyright. Unauthorised copying or distribution is an infringement of our intellectual property rights.

No refund policy for digital products

Because our products are digital downloads that are accessible immediately upon purchase, we are unable to offer refunds once a product has been downloaded or accessed, except where required by law.

If you have a genuine problem with a product — for example, a file is corrupted or you have received the wrong item — please contact us at info@legalie.co.uk within 14 days of purchase and we will do our best to resolve it.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this policy.

4. Accuracy of information

We make every effort to ensure the information in our products and on our website is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. However:

•  UK law, regulations, and government guidance change frequently. We cannot guarantee that all information remains current after the date of publication.

•  Always verify important information at GOV.UK or by speaking to a qualified professional.

•  We include the date of last update on all our products. If you are unsure whether information is still current, contact us.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legalie accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided on our website or in our products.

5. Intellectual property

All content on legalie.co.uk and in our products — including text, graphics, logos, layout, and document formats — is the intellectual property of Legalie Ltd and is protected by UK copyright law.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute any part of our content without our prior written consent, except for your own personal, non-commercial use.

The Legalie name, logo, and brand are not registered trademarks at the time of writing. Unauthorised use of our brand is still prohibited under common law passing off.

6. Website use

You agree to use legalie.co.uk only for lawful purposes. You must not:

•  Use our website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful

•  Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or systems

•  Post or transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or infringes any third party's rights

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to our website at our discretion.

7. Third-party links

Our website and products contain links to third-party websites including GOV.UK, Citizens Advice, Shelter, and others. These links are provided for information only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party website.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

•  We exclude all liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products.

•  Our total liability to you in connection with any purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that product.

•  Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

9. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website with the date of last update. Your continued use of our website or products after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Contact
